Description: A Kosar hydrid from the US National Arboretum breeding program. It is a columnar shaped, single stemmed deciduous tree--growing 20' tall x 8' wide in 10 years. A profusion of large (8-10") dark reddish-purple blossoms appear late after spring frosts.
